ITT Section 2 - Background and services required

Section two – Background and services required of the Everything ICT Invitation To Tender terms and conditions is laid out in full below.

2. Background and Services Required

  • 2.1 Introduction

    • 2.1.1 This ITT sets out the steps EICT will take to obtain specific information from Suppliers to enable us to select a subcontracted Supplier to provide the Services it requires pursuant to the award of a contract by the School to EICT for provision of the Services under the terms of the Everything ICT Framework.

    • 2.1.2 This opportunity is being competed through the Everything ICT Framework and while suppliers that are not an Approved Everything ICT Supplier may be invited to submit a bid, they cannot be awarded the contract unless they are or become an Approved EICT Supplier on or by the date of award of any resulting contract even if they are the chosen or preferred supplier.

    • 2.1.3 All Suppliers are reminded that their Tender must meet all relevant requirements and obligations as an Approved Everything ICT Supplier, as set out in our supplier application documents. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring all supplier quotes and Tenders include Everything ICT’s Framework commission.

    • 2.1.4 The Supplier must include all contract costs for the Services described. If the bidder intends to sub-contract part of the Service, this must be disclosed and the cost included within the Supplier submission. EICT wishes to enter into a single contract for the whole of the Services. and any sub-contracts are to beat the risk of the contracted Supplier. Where a significant proportion of the Services are to be provided by a sub-contractor of the organisation submitting a Tender, Everything ICT reserves the right to require the sub-contractor to provide any additional information which in our reasonable opinion we may require to assure ourselves that the sub-contractor is a bona fide organisation and fully meets the criteria normally required of an Approved EICT Supplier.

    • 2.1.5 Any prospective Supplier who is still in the process of applying to become an Approved Everything ICT Supplier but has not yet been fully approved, or will be applying in due course, is reminded that full approval is a mandatory requirement before any contract can be awarded and that preparing and submitting a Tender without having been formally approved by Everything ICT is done entirely at the Supplier’s own risk. For the avoidance of doubt, any Supplier who is declared the selected or preferred Supplier but who is not already (or subsequently) fully approved as an Approved Everything ICT Supplier shall not have a contract awarded to them and in this event EICT reserves the right to award any contract to a Supplier who has been fully approved as an Approved Everything ICT Supplier.

    • 2.1.6 If you have been invited to participate in this competition and you are not already an Approved Everything ICT Supplier you must submit your supplier application to Everything ICT by the date set out below for the receipt of responses to this Invitation To Tender. For the avoidance of doubt any Tender received from an organisation that is not already fully approved or has not submitted their supplier application by this date may be rejected without further consideration.

    • 2.1.7 You are reminded that the process of applying to become an Approved Everything ICT Supplier is entirely separate from this Invitation to Tender process and will be managed by a different team within EICT and there is no guarantee that an application to become an Approved EICT Supplier will be approved by us simply because you have been invited to participate in this supplier mini-competition.
