Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

| Our baseline year is 1 January–31 December 2024. Baseline emissions have been calculated in line with PPN 06/21 / PPN 006 and the GHG Protocol. As a fully remote organisation with 25 UK‑based FTEs, we have no offices and no company‑owned vehicles, so Scope 1 and office‑based Scope 2 emissions are zero. The primary sources of greenhouse gas emissions are Scope 3 categories: employee homeworking and business travel via public transport. Homeworking emissions have been estimated using recognised UK homeworking benchmarks on a per‑FTE basis, applied across 25 FTEs over the baseline year. Business travel emissions have been estimated from typical annual distances travelled by staff on rail and bus (less than 50 km per FTE per month on average), using appropriate UK emission factors for public transport. Given that this is our first year of formal carbon measurement, values are based on estimates rather than metered data. We will refine these calculations in future years by improving data collection on actual staff travel and home energy use while working, and by updating emission factors in line with the latest UK government guidance. | |

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 20 tCO2e by 2030 This is a reduction of 20%
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2024 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 2 tCO2e, an 8% reduction against the 2024 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.
- Over 11,000 trees planted in UK, Kenya, Madagascar, Uganda and Ethiopia
- Support for carbon avoidance projects in Brazil and Cambodia
- Removal of CO2 through reforestation projects in Pakistan and Ethiopia
In the future we hope to implement further measures, including projects supporting the restoration of natural habitats, and investing in carbon capture projects.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard[3] and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting[4].
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard[5].
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
